Permeable Paving

With recent changes in climate and the amount of rainfall resulting in localised flooding , the government has recognised this problem and is now encouraging both contractors and the general public to look at different types of permeable paving that allow rainwater to either soak into the ground or controlled storage of rainwater that can be reused .

Woodward Developments have embraced this and through attending recent training courses can now offer this option of paving that will both help and preserve the environment .

Permeable paving is laid in a similar way to normal block paving but the subbase materials are made up of different grades of washed stone and layers of membrane that filters the water and lets it flow back into the earth. This water can also be filtered and stored in an underground tank and reused for garden water or car washing if required.
